Donation FAQ
Donation Forms
Q: Is it required to fill out the online donation forms regardless of what type of donation?
A: Yes, please always fill out the donation form for each donation to ensure we have the correct contact and donation information. It can help us process your donation more efficiently. Without a donation form, the donation will be allocated for the Foundation Operation.
Q: Is there a PDF donation form that I can download?
A: It is highly recommended that you use the online donation form and electronic payment methods which support efficient and precise donation processing. But the PDF Donation Form is still supported.
Donation Preferences
Q: What donation preferences can be accepted?
A: You can choose one or several preferences listed in the donation form. In additions, find a valid donation preference from this NTHU Giving Day web page or reach out directly to NTHU departments or the Division of University Development. Invalid donation preferences will not be processed by the Foundation.
Q: Can I donate to alumni associations?
No, donations to NTHU alumni organizations will not be accepted since they are not part of the NTHU system.
Ways to Give
Q: Where can I see the bank information for Bank ACH or Wire Transfers?
A: After you submit the online donation form, the payment instructions will be emailed to you. Then you can login to your bank and initiate an ACH or Wire transfer. Note that your bank may charge a fee for the transfer.
Q: I plan to use Zelle. What name and email address should I use?
A: After you submit the online donation form, the payment instructions will be emailed to you and also displayed on the thank-you page. You can login to you bank to initiate a Zelle transfer. Note that Zelle is usually a fast and free payment method; yet the daily amount can be limited by your financial institutions.
Q: Can I make donations with checks?
A: Yes. There are two ways to make check donations. First, you may deposit the check directly at a local Chase Bank branch. This is a fast and quite secure way to make check donations. Second, you can mail the check to the Foundation. This can be a slow process and may take two months for the Foundation to process (e.g. when the responsible person is traveling aboard.) You can reach out to the Foundation at treasury@nthu-na-foundation.org for other options. Detailed instruction will be sent after you submit the donation form.
Q: Does the Foundation accept company matching gifts?
A: The Foundation is 501(c)3 organization and is qualified for gift matching. The Foundation is currently registered with Benevity (used by Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc.) and Your Cause (used by AT&T, Boeing, Chevron, Pifzer, etc.) We will work with you to add the Foundation to the gift matching platform that your company uses. See Corporate Gift Matching Program.
Q: I recently learned about the QCD (Qualified Charitable Distributions) donation through IRA. Where can I see more detail about QCD?
A: You may find some information on our Gift from the QCD page. Please also search online for latest federal and state regulations.
Q: Does the Foundation accept Stock donations?

Q: Does the Foundation support gift planning or asset donation?

Fees
Q: Is there any processing fee for the donation? If yes, how much it would cost?
